Glen Lyon is Scotland’s longest enclosed glen, stretching over 32 miles. Once described by Sir Walter Scott as the “longest, loneliest and loveliest glen in Scotland”, it forms part of the 48,400 hectare Loch Rannoch and Glen Lyon National Scenic Area.

The Farmhouse is framed by a traditional stone steading which creates a private courtyard area to the rear of the property. Landscaped garden to the front with views of the river.
The farmhouse benefits from its own private water supply from a borehole.
Activities
Walking
The impressive mountains to the north and south provide wonderful hill walking, including the famous Glen Lyon horseshoe, a high level walk taking in 4 ‘Munros’ including the iconic Schiehallion, Ben More and Stob Binnein.
Fishing
First class brown trout and salmon fishing is available on your doorstep, the river only 100 metres from the Farmhouse (included in the rental price). Salmon fishing is available within only a couple of miles away (permits from the post office at Bridge of Balgie).
Country Pursuits
Stalking, shooting as well as clay pigeon shooting can be arranged through the nearby sporting estates
Watersports
There are watersports available on the nearby Loch Tay, Rannoch, Earn and Tummel.
